Construction_OversightIn today's progressing renewable energy markets, ESI has found an increasing need to provide a communication link between the project owner, the engineer, the contractors, and the financing agency. By providing this link through an experienced oversight team, the actual field installation is assured consistency with the engineered drawings.

In cooperation with their engineered designs, ENERGYneering Solutions, Inc. offers clients construction oversight on renewable energy projects around the country. Our experienced team of construction oversight professionals includes project managers, site overseers, and general contractors. ESI's construction involvement includes general contractor licenses in multiple states as well as experience with building departments countrywide. ESI is capable of providing Equipment Procurement Contractor (EPC) services along with overall project management. Additionally, ESI is highly experienced in providing startup services on renewable energy projects with varying utilities around the country. No matter the level of involvement required or desired, ESI is ready and able to participate in renewable energy project construction from groundbreaking to startup.

Trinity Oaks

Trinity Oaks Renewable Energy Facility

Owner: G2 Energy, LLC

Project Completion: February 2009

Equipment:Two Caterpillar G3520C Reciprocating Gensets

Capacity: 3.2 megawatts

Location:Trinity Oaks Landfill - Dallas, Texas

ENERGYneering provided design, construction oversight, and startup assistance for the Trinity Oaks Facility on behalf of G2 Energy. The facility is located on a closed landfill, managed by Republic Services, Inc. The design consisted of two Caterpillar G3520C Gensets housed in a building with related mechanical and electrical systems. The facility design included integration with the existing LFG collection system for the landfill. During design and construction, ENERGYneering played an active role in an extensive permit process with the City of Dallas Building and Zoning Departments. As a part of this process, ENERGYneering conducted fire and sound impact studies for the facility’s surrounding neighborhoods. The project included an ENERGYneering designed SCADA system that allows partial control of the facility and storage of operating data. The SCADA system can be accessed remotely via laptop or smartphone.

Location:82nd Ave. Landfill, Portland, OR

ESI designed and conducted the field installation of a LFG wellfield for the 82nd Ave. Landfill. The landfill was out of compliance with the EPA while being located near a residential area.























Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz Renewable Energy Facility Renovation

Owner: Fortistar Methane Group

Project Completion: Expected September 2009

Equipment: One Caterpillar G3520C Reciprocating Genset

Capacity: 1.6 megawatts

Location: Santa Cruz Resource Recovery Facility - Santa Cruz, California

ENERGYneering provided design, construction oversight, and startup assistance for the Santa Cruz Renewable Energy Facility Renovation. The facility is owned and operated by Fortistar Methane Group and is located at the Santa Cruz Resource Recovery Facility. Fortistar contact ENERGYneering to replace an existing 955 kW Solar gas turbine with a 1,600 kW Caterpillar G3520C Genset. Design all related mechanical systems and electrical systems, demolition of the existing equipment, and rennovation of the existing building. A chiller system was integrated into the blower skid to aid in siloxane removal. The project included ENERGYneering’s advanced SCADA system that allows local and remote control, data aquisition, trending, and an operator call-out system. Throughout design and construction of the project, ENERGYneering’s flexibility proved valuable in overcoming space limitations and other obstacles associated with a renovation project.
